Web Design

If I employed Total Website Management to design my website would I then be able to use another designer to update my site at a some time in the future?

Total Website Management designs are fully transportable. We use standard HTML, XML, shoppping carts and content management systems that anyone can work on. We do not hold our clients to ransom by using any script or coding that is only available for others to use.

When Total Website Management has completed a website design for a client who owns that design?

When the final payment has been made by the client for the design of his or her website the ownership of that design passes immediately to the client. Total Website Management does not expect a client to pay for a site design and then not own the copyright to that design.

What about the copyright on any graphics that you might use on my website?

If you have paid us to develop the graphics for your website then you own the copyright.

Why don't I see any Javascript being used in your site designs?

Javascript is seen by many Internet security experts as being an open door for hackers to enter personal computers and take control. Many of those experts are now recommending that people surf the Net with Javascript turned off. If you've got a site that relies on Javascript for navigation anyone who lands on your site who has Javascript turned off on their computers won't be able to see anything more than your front page.

If you design a website for me or for my business will everyone be able to see it?

Before any of our website designs goes live we will have tested it in all the major browsers and it will be designed to fit all the common screen resolutions too. We are always conservative with our designs to ensure that our designs look good and load quickly regardless of a person's connection speed or screen size.

Web Hosting

If I host my website with you where will my site be located?

Our main servers are located in the United States but we can also host your site in Australia, Europe or the United Kingdom.

Is there any advantage to being hosted in Australia rather than one of your other locations?

If your website is hosted with us here in Australia you may notice a slight difference in the time it takes for your site to load. Loading time from our server here in Australia to your computer is slightly less than it is from our servers in the United States but the difference is so small that most people wouldn't notice it.
